This gallery features a selection of photographs of the lakes and mountains of the Lake District in Cumbria taken throughout the four seasons. The quality of the light, especially in early morning, late evening and the short winter days, helps to enhance the atmosphere of England’s most well-known National Park.
The Lake District has been a source of inspiration to many artists, photographers and poets too – it is not difficult to see why. And, if further proof were needed of how special a place it is, in July 2017 it was awarded Unesco World Heritage Site Status.
